Dazai sits, and she shrugs off her shoulder bag to unzip it and pull out a large blanket. She gives it a few shakes before setting it on the ground -- she'd said a picnic, and she'd meant it!]
The sandwiches are some of the leftover beef and chicken from when we were all trying to cook when the fridges were broken. There's fruit, and tea, and I made cupcakes, too.
[She takes a seat on the blanket and holds out her hand. He had the bag -- he has to give her a sandwich!]
(he just watches in awe, because, lo and behold, some of us never had a picnic! he's looking here, looking there, checking how she sets the items and it's good that she reminded him to hand her the sandwiches, because he's a bit in awe.)
